Martin Andrew Finn

Martin was my brother, he was a lovely brother he lived life to full and was always out with his mates and they looked out for each other.
Martin was traically taken from us on the 4th of october he gone over to belfast to work because had been layed of from the company he worked for he was a qualified plater welder, he had begun training for the moment he lefted school. Martin went over to belfast not long after he got layed from the company he worked for he arrived they a day earlier than he was meant to he left his belongings at the digs he was going to be staying and then went over to the place where he was going to be working at doing welding but the boss said that he was a day earlier martin thought he was meant to start the very next day
but they you go anyway his boss spoke to him and then he decide to go and get something to eat, which he did he went to the chinese in the town near to were he was staying. He went into the chinese ordered and waited for his food then as he walked out from the chinese and was crossing the road, he looked both ways and then walked out and a car came from no where and struck Martin. The person who struck Martin was on his way to work, he had been running late and was speeding, him and his wife had just had a baby and the child wouldn't settle. Martin was took to they local hopsital and was took to intensive care. They was a knock at the door at 2.00 the next morning but the accident had occured the previous night at about eight o clock. They told my mam and dad they would of know sooner about Martin but they got him mixed up with somebody else. Martin sadly died the next day. Becasue Martins tragic death had happened in belfast they was no accident reconstruction. My mam and had to figtht for this to be done bu they outcome was that is was tragic accident if the accident reconstruction had been done on that night it probably would of been a different outcome. Martin was flown back to teesside airport and was buried at acklam cenmerty. An inquest was held in belfast which my parents attended and the person got a let of.
